Conner Junior High Mentoring Program

posted Sep 9, 2016, 9:06 AM by McGehee Schools   [ updated Sep 9, 2016, 9:07 AM ]
Students at Conner Junior High attended a presentation explaining a new Mentoring Program that will begin this school year. Every student at the Junior High has been paired with a Faculty Mentor. Students will meet with their advisory weekly and will receive academic, social, and emotional support. This opportunity will allow students to have a specific person in the school they know is there to help ensure their success. Mentors will help students develop short and long term goals for the future. Community and business leaders are invited to participate in the mentoring program in order to ensure the program helps students create a path for success in school and after.
