Vyve had an assembly Dec. 7th at the BGC for the 700+ students of McGehee Elementary School. Mayor Jeff Owyoung, Desha County Judge Jack May, and State Representative Mark McElroy attended with several education officials. Art Teacher Jamie Sims entered her students (k-6) into the National Vyve Christmas card design contest. 9 states entered and a plethora of schools from those states. She mailed the entries to NYC where a panel of judges chose
Alicia Jimenez' design from thousands of entries. Runner up was Avion Hill. The winner won an iPad and other goodies.  The winner, runner up, and other finalists (which McGehee had 4 of those as well) will have their designs streaming in Vyve cable network, and also around the nation. The winning design is being produced on Hallmark cards. Mrs. Sims received $200 for art supplies. Congratulations!
