NOTICE
***If a student or staff has had a COVID 19 test recently, They SHOULD NOT return to school until they have a negative test result from the health agency (regardless if symptomatic or not), and have met any required quarantine protocol based on positive test results or known possible exposure.***

COVID-19 Point of Contact
In an effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19 virus within our staff and student body we are asking all parents/guardians, of students who will be in attendance on-site, and all employees to notify our designated Point of Contact (POC) immediately when the following occurs:
Student/Staff has been tested for COVID-19. Students/staff should remain in quarantine pending the result of their COVID-19 test.
Someone in the household has symptoms and tested for COVID-19. Students/Staff are recommended to quarantine pending the result of the family member’s COVID-19 test.
Student/staff has been identified as a close contact to a positive case of COVID-19 and is requiring quarantine.

We have a Point of Contact identified to be our liaison with the Arkansas Department of Health and a process in place to help minimize the risk in our school. The Arkansas Department of Health is identifying confirmed cases on the county level. If there are cases associated with students or staff in the school district, the student or staff member will be notified by health department officials. For the privacy of students and staff, the district will not be sharing any information. We are committed to provide the safest learning environment and will follow the guidance provided by the CDC and the Arkansas Department of Education in conjunction with the Arkansas Department of Health.
For the privacy of all students and staff, McGehee School District will not be sharing any personal information publicly.

- If your student is unable to wear a face mask due to a disability or medical condition please provide documentation from your child's physician exempting them.
This documentation can be faxed to your student's school nurse (MES Nurse 870-222-4181, CJH/MHS Nurse 870-222-4689) or taken to your student's school office.
