McGehee Public School's CIPA Compliance Statement
In compliance with the Federal Communications Commission order FCC 11-125 and Federal law enacted by Congress to address concerns about access to offensive content over the Internet on school and library computers, the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA) was passed. Our schools and libraries are compliant with CIPA, providing technologies that go above and beyond content filtering to ensure our children are protected. This includes all computers and online devices used by students and staff gaining Internet access through the School District's Internet Circuit(s) . Additionally all students are required to attend cyber safety training about appropriate online behavior including interacting with other individuals on social networking sites, chat rooms, and cyber-bullying awareness and response. For more information on CIPA Compliance, click here.
